Dear Danielle and Mitch,
It was so lovely to hear stories of Graydon’s well-lived and colourful life through this live servivce; my apologies I couldn’t attend in person.
Graydon was such a knowledgeable, talented, and creative problem-solver.
Being new to the role of art teacher, I wasn’t always sure of how feasible some of my ideas were. Whenever I approached Graydon with a new concept, he always had time to listen and was up for the challenge of coming up with ways to make things happen. He was easygoing and kind, and relished in opportunities to be inventive, no matter how impossible my request may have seemed.
When students asked him questions, (ranging between relevant things such as how he cut wire, to unrelated things like why he had a beard) he was always patient and good natured in his explanations to them.
He will be missed, and his legacy will live on at Milgate PS and in the lives of those in our school community.
My deepest condolences for your loss,
Tamara Zebisch

Graydon you were such a special person, kind, respectful, funny, generous and so welcoming. You were always ready for a chat and the way you had time to greet and interact with the kids was lovely to see. Your smiling face will be missed.
Graydon was an amazing man who made the children at the schools he worked in feel noticed. He was never too busy to answer the many questions that they would have when seeing him working on a project. He will be greatly missed and was very respected. It was an honour to have known him.
Sincerely,
Janine
