Dear John, Luke and Waine
Thank you for the privilege and honour of inviting me to attend the celebration of the life of our beautiful Inez. On behalf of the Di Giovanni family please accept our sincere sympathy.
John, as I often refer to you as St John, your love and care for Inez for such a long time is worthy of the highest honour.
We go back to our childhood where we played, along with Rodney and Julie in Chestnut Street and “Mum Grant” took me in as one of her children to watch TV. As a migrant, who only spoke Italian, you and your family patiently taught me English. Inez you were the sister I never had.
Inez and ‘Mum” are the reason I become a passionate (and sometimes mad) Collingwood supporter. I regularly reminisce on the many games we attended together at the Pies spiritual home of Victoria Park, the MCG and Waverly Park and the fun times in the car when travelling to and from games.
We have been in each other’s lives ever since we first met and your love for my family will stay with us for ever.
Your courage, love and wicked sense of humour throughout your many years of pain are what we should all aspire to live our lives by. You are (deliberate present tense) a true and beautiful human being and I have been honoured to call you my “sister”. Rest in peace beautiful lady.
Our love to John and family at this sad time.
To John Luke and Waine
Inez would be so proud of you all – a lovely farewell – I was over whelmed with sadness knowing the person we have lost was everyone’s hero – but if you said to Inez you are ” everyone’s favorite – she would roll those big eyes and say “I very much doubt that – but I try”. Inez leaves us with lovely memories of a person who always would light up the room and always tried to look on the bright side of things, and she leaves behind 3 champions – you guys are just as amazing. Together we will continue to remember the great memories and times but are comforted that her suffering is now over. Rest in peace Inez – Forever Loved and Cherished by ALL.
Love Always
Janelle Ferguson
Dear Ine, you will forever hold a special spot in my heart. I find comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain. Rest in peace beautiful, until we meet again.
Dear John and the boys – My love and condolences to you all. Waine was right in saying you all deserve a medal for the love and care you gave Ine everyday. She was your rock as much as you were hers.
To John and family we send our sincere condolences on the passing of Inez. May the happier memories of times shared serve to fill your loss.
Gone from our presence & retained in our memories always.
Sorry we weren’t able to be there today but was nice to be able to tune in online to pay our respects in some way.
It was a great Eulogy and service. I feel that poem could’ve been written by Liam so still applies down the Ferguson ranks 🙂
She was so lovely to us all growing up and will be sadly missed.
Otty & Katherine xo
Dear Inez, may your beautiful soul rest in peace
John, great speech, wonderful memories. You are a true hero, inspiration for everyone

Hi John. What a lovely service and tribute to beautiful Inez. I wish I knew her much longer than I did but I’m certainly sad to know that she won’t be at any more of our monthly dinners (if we can ever have them again?). I loved the Eulogy you did and the nice slide show of Inez’s life with her beautiful smile.
Lots of love to you and family (and Jamie) as you go through this very difficult time. We hope to see you again soon.
Condolences from Wendy and Ian. Xx
A truly beautiful Celebration of Life for dear Inez.xo John, your Eulogy was so very special. (Such a wonderful Husband and very devoted Carer)xo Waine and Luke’s Poem was a gem and so very fitting. The Music, the flowers and casket, and collage of Photos were perfectly chosen as a Tribute to your wonderful Wife and Mum Inez and your Family life together. In loving memory of a truly beautiful lady, Inez, who will be very sadly missed. We have happy memories from Primary School days…and to our fun Vietnam Veterans Xmas Lunches shared together over more recent years. Our love and strong thoughts to you all. Lynda, Gary, Narelle & Celeste (Clayton).xo
Love you to the moon and back Aunty Ine. Thanks for saying that one out loud for me. She made a big impact on my life and the world will not be the same without her in it. Uncle John, you are a super hero. It takes a special kind of person to do what you have done………….
I wish I could have been there, certainly is hard to watch a screen and not be able to give my family a hug! Miss you all and love you so much.
Love always Sami xx
Beautiful service for a beautiful person – well done to everyone. So thankful to have had Inez in our lives. Hope to see you all in person soon. Love Glenn & Jo Janes.

Beautiful Inez, I was equally scared of, and felt loved by you since I was about 15. The fact that you followed our lives, commented on every personal milestone we had, celebrated and commiserated with us, often just virtually, reflects the size of your heart and the kindness of your soul. To Johnny, you are a true gentleman. My greatest sympathies to you, Keeny, Lil, Liam, and Waine. Her spirit is strong in all of you. Love Mez and Rory Osman xx
truly a great service for a great Aunty we all miss you, our hearts go out to you all, Uncle John you are an inspiration and have set bar for how to love and care for your family. forever in our thoughts.

Watching this beautiful service and remembering your beautiful mum to Luke and Wayne and wife to John
I have many fond memories of hanging out at 4 Alderford and chatting to Inez. Man she was funny. And always asking about, looking out for us and interested in each of our lives with genuine love and care for all of her sons friends. I’m proud I have had the chance to know her.
She loved you boys so much and you both sure gave her a run for her money, but I think it’s safe to say she won the big battle – raising 2 full grown men who can actually look after themselves and have become truly great, kind caring people…..Didn’t quite win the footy team battle , but hey, we all know you have soft spot for her mighty magpies !
There’s no one like ya mum. you’ll miss her dreadfully but I hope you can find solace and know that she is beaming down with pride and love for you all.
