I am so grateful for the opportunity to have shared many great times with Victor, as both a work colleague at ITIM and a good friend. Love and prayers to all the family
Barbara and family, may Victor continue to be a spiritual companion, encourager and guide from his dispersion in the hereafter.
I am so grateful to have been his friend in ITIM days and was spurred to remember him as he passed into the great mystery of the cosmos.
Dear Barbara and family, so very sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you at this difficult time.
It was a great privilege to know and spend time with. Victor.
It was a beautiful service.
Dear Barbara and family, so sorry for your loss.
It was a great pleasure to have known Victor.
We have so many fond and cherished memories of him.
Love Andrew, James, Joe, Erin and Anna Hunt.
P.S. Victor loved a good fire and 2 hands in the biscuit tin.
I suddenly recalled one of Victor’s great sayings, borrowed from Saint Paul, which raised a grin and a chuckle when he was feeling a bit browned off about something at S.Michael’s House: ‘Oh the suffering of this present time is not to be compared with the glory that awaits us.’ In retrospect, Ne’er a truer word spoken!!
Dear Barbara,
You know the impact Victor had on me through the experience of our trek over the Kokoda Trail and the construction of the Kitchen/Dining Room at Eroro Mission Station in the Northern District of Papua New Guinea in December/January 1965/66. That impact remains strong to this day. For example Victor taught me that ‘St’ is the abbreviation for ‘Street’ not ‘Saint’. ‘S.’ is an abbreviation for ‘Saint’, and I have written it so ever since. When I was the Tonsorii (barber) at S. Michael’s House Victor always asked me to give him a ‘City Trim’ …. as a gentleman should.
My prayer for you and your family is that you will know God’s comfort in this time of your bereavement and God’s peace in the days of your adjustment ahead.
With love to you all … +David and Janet Murray in Perth
Dear Barbara and families,
Thinking of you all at this sad time. We shared so many fun times together while travelling in the 4WD club. Will be getting the photos out to refresh my memory.

Dear Barbara, Benjamin, Jonathan and families, thanks for the opportunity to join you in celebrating a great life and memories of a great man. Hearing the stories told by Ben and Joe brought back memories of Bob and how he very much looked up to Victor.
We wish you all the best as you move forward in your lives with the guidance and love of Victor watching over you.
Hi Barbara, Ben, and Jonathan. I watched online. Picture OK but audio so distorted I couldn’t understand anything much of what was said. So I was with you virtually all in spirit, though sadly.
May Victor rest in peace. I thank God for my friendship with him for so long.
God bless you all.
Sincerely,
Don
Steamed the service into our little abode in Winton Victoria. A well written service Victor you should be proud. A busy life and now at peace. Deepest sympathies to Barbara and all the family. From one of the gangster members of that 4 wheel drive club.
From the Haste family in Adelaide to the Haste family in Melbourne. All our love thoughts and prayers are with you. A beautiful service for a man who was well loved and respected. It was wonderful to be able to share this time with you but sad that we couldn’t be there with you all.
With gratitude for fellowship with Victor over the years.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory,
May Holy Spirit comfort you Barbara and all your family.
