Having painted with Jan in our art class I came to love her as a friend and admire her as a talented artist and a strong character. She was passionate about things that interested her and she shared much information about things that could improve our lives and the world. It was great fun to be with her.
She cared about others and above all about her family.
My sincere sympathy to Sal and family.

Dear Sally, a lovely service and a wonderful celebration of your dear Mum’s life. You spoke beautifully and James’ contribution was superb. My memories of Jan are of someone who was warm, kind, and caring.

Dear Sal
Having been a member with Jan at Chris Hermans’ Painting Group over many years we have all
loved Jan and enjoyed her friendship, admired her wonderful personality and interest in so many
things. Also her knowledge on gardening, painting, what we can do to help keep our bodies active.
We know how hard it is for you and the family and send our love and gratefulness to have been a
part of our lives.

Simply beautiful. What a lovely way to celebrate a wonderful person.
I feel eternally grateful to have shared time with Jan her last few days.
Jan was up and about and so excited for her upcoming trip. There was no sign. I was keeping up with her!
Love to Sall. Chris and James. My heart goes out to you. Cherish those memories xx
Peace, Honas
Having known Jan for her 84 years and her continued friendship in different ways over time, it is hard to believe she is no longer there. So sorry I was unable to travel to Melbourne but my thoughts have been with you all. Love to all her family.
Dear Sall, James and Chris, sorry I wasn’t able to be there in person. It was a wonderful tribute to your mum, and you spoke beautifully. Love, Merri x
To Chris, Sal, James and Family,
My deepest sympathies to you all on the loss of your beautiful mum, and Grandma.
Your mum certainly packed a lot into her life, and to be honest I’m so glad Jan didn’t spend time fading away in a Nursing home or???? Instead, she was off exploring the beautiful Wild flowers of Western Australia (where my own Mum was born). I have been there myself.
I have wonderful memories of times gone by, sharing lots of special occasions together, whether it be out socially or watching our sons playing football at Heathmont., catching up with the local women too at Suzy and Liz’s dress shop in Heathmont, on a Saturday.
Keep your memories of Jan close always. She was a special and a unique woman in her own right.
Thinking of you all.
Love and miss you Jan

Wow. What a beautiful celebration of your mum’s filled to the brim life. Filled with so much love and nurturing. Sal, James and Chris, I’m sorry I wasn’t here with you today but this very moving memorial brought back so many amazing years of memories growing up at Danielle Cres and beyond. I’ve never met anyone who lived a life so full with love as Jan. Much love and hugs, Ange xx
Beautiful memories of a beautiful lady, love and hugs to you Sal and James and Chris, she will live forever in your hearts and the hearts of all those who knew her and loved her.
Lovely service and a nice way to remember Aunty Jan.
