I knew Jarrod during our school days in Aquadale and Norwood and as many have said, it it obvious even then that he was meant for greater things. Prayers are being lifted for his family and friends, and thank you for allowing us to share in his final goodbye.
Au revoir, Jarrod. Thank you for always believing in me. Will miss your feedback, emails, and those fun yet thought-provoking meetings. My deep condolescenes for Jarrod’s loved ones.
I will miss you forever, Jarrod. You were one of the best things that ever happened to Michigan—a bridge between people, a kind and brilliant soul, a fun companion, an extraordinary teacher and scholar. Above all, you were a true friend to your friends. You leave behind a meaningful legacy, one marked by generosity, intellect, and warmth.. With all my love.
Jarrod was such a dear friend. I was sad he moved so far away, but very glad he found happiness there. He impacted so many people’s lives, including my own. Thank you for streaming the service so people could participate from all over the world. Raising a glass of nice white wine for you, Jarrod!
Love and peace to Jarrod and family and friends.
Jarrod, you always addressed us as ‘friends’, and you meant it, sincerely. The fifth floor corridor of the Menzies building won’t be the same without you.
My heartfelt condolences to Jarrod’s family and friends. Oh Jarrod, I will always carry you with me for your wit, your sweetness and your tremendous intellectual generosity. You were the best guide and the best mentor to me. Thank you.
From London, my love and thoughts are with Nic, Audra, Anita and Jarrod’s family and friends. We will miss him very much at Monash.
Jarrod was my PhD supervisor at Monash University. His presence lingers in every word I write. He was endlessly kind. I pray that the same kindness now holds him, gently and completely.
Jarrod’s death is just so tragic. My thoughts are with his family, especially Nick, and his friends and I wish you all much peace. I am happy though that he was able to make the life in Australia that he wanted, and am especially glad that he was surrounded by so much love. –Ziggy (PS, here is a picture of that peach tower, https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/gaffney-peachoid)
We couldn’t be there but we Love You and thinking of the Family
