  1. Sending you all lots of love. May all the beautiful memories of your beloved Mum/Oma bring you comfort during this hard time. Thinking of you. X

  2. Dear family,

It felt extraordinary to be able to attend the service, here from the Netherlands!
Especially the In Memorial and poem for aunty Jo was very beautiful, but also the music, the kind words of the priest and the photos afterwards! We remember having received aunty Jo and uncle Jack once in Holland and having made a boat trip (like the one in the picture) throughout Langedijk. Suddenly the motor stopped and we had to “kloeten” the whole way back. But your parents had the time of their lives!
They received Theo and me with a warm welcome when we visited Australia in 1991, for which we are still thankful. Indeed, you have (had) a great Mum and Dad!
Best wishes for all of you, also on behalf of my father, Frans.

  3. The service was well conducted. The eulogy was well written and delivered. A moving tribute to a lady who lived an interesting life and whose life touched many. Our deepest sympathies go out to the bereaved at this sad time. Our thoughts are with you.

  4. The service was lovely, the weather was kind also. Such a shame the whole family couldn’t be there with you all.
Our deepest sympathy to you all,

  5. A beautiful service, I loved Johanna’s story, well done Ria, and Karen’s poem so well read by Ellis. The photos were wonderful, I could have watched more. I remember Jo’s gentle smile and her love of Rummikub and Bingo, and yes her love of all her family. You are all in my thoughts.
    Rest In Peace Johanna. xo

  6. She was the best Oma! I remember how she always had the best dutch treats and flavoured mineral water for us kids every Sunday when we visited. I remember her delicious fruit punch at family BBQs and Christmas Eve. I remember how Oma loved to hear about what we had been up to, and even though I couldn’t understand all the words she said, I always understood her. I loved having a dozen games of sjoelbak with her each week. I’ll miss you Oma, but I know you will be happy wherever you are now.

  7. A beautiful service for such a remarkable woman. Loving Mother, Oma and Great Oma.
May your many memories help you during this sad time.
Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to such a beautiful family.

We loved Oma! I will always remember the soft drink and biscuits she would bring out on a Sunday morning after we had been to church. And how many times she would beat me at Rummikub, she was so smart.
