What a beautiful service for such an amazing man. JC lived a great life with Gloria and his family and will be deeply missed. What a wonderful legacy he has left. We met JC and Gloria at a V8 weekend in New Zealand many years ago and have remained friends ever since. Sincere condolences to Gloria and Family. RIP JC.

What a fabulous tribute to John. He would have loved the excavators and his final ride on the tractor. Good driving Craig. Thinking of you all and sending lots of love your way. I have many memories of you all and many of jc’s antics. Lots of love Shelley and family xxx
Thank you for sharing this brilliant celebration of John’s inspirational life and legacy. I knew John as 10-year-old. I remember watching him rip around paddocks on his harvesting machinery on our Dad’s (Gordon Kellas) farm on Brandy Creek Rd. I also remember him as Best Man at the wedding of my eldest sister (Margaret) and brother-in-law (Ian Mills). He was a hugely respected hardworker. He was admired for being a straight talking and devoted family man. I am looking forward to my next visit to Oz and Warragul when I’ll have the opportunity to read Marg and Ian’s copy of John’s book ‘What Ever’. What an achievement to have a book launched two weeks prior to his passing. An amazing man. For now, all thoughts are with you Gloria and your family at this, the saddest of time. Pam Kellas (married name Burnard)
With condolences to the Castle family, fitting tribute to a life well lived.
Deepest sympathy to Gloria and family, very fitting service for John.
So much thought has been put into this final fair well for John, everyone involved should be very proud. What a wonderful way to send him off.
To Mrs Castle and family. I had the pleasure of meeting JC just on 15 years ago when I first started in realestate. He said to me one day, jump in the 4 wheel drive, I will take you over Crystal Waters. I said ok. I was dressed in a nice suit at the time. We go to crystal Waters and I thought to myself, we won’t drive over that its to wet. JC planted the foot through the paddock and mud and then we got bogged to the Axel. Couldn’t go anywhere. He said to me, take off your shoes, jump over the back and put on my gum boots because the only way out is to walk. I said ok. Jumped over the back, put on his boots but before we decided to walk out we need to see if we can push us out. With all the laughter that went on that day we did decide to walk out with mud everywhere and with me falling over. That was my first experience with JC then the years followed from there. I was saddened to hear the news. To one great man, I send my condolences to you all. He will be sadly missed. Thinking of you all. Rest easy JC regards Kaye Dixon

John was a Man who called a spade a spade. He had strong visions and work ethics and it was an honour to work beside him on many occasions at Auscivil.
A very fitting tribute to JC. today.
Was endearing to see so many family, friends, colleagues and workers in attendance.

Condolences to Gloria and family.
My memories of John where of when we were “feral” kids together( 6 to 14 yrs.), never home always up to something that our parents would probably have disapproved of, great times. I was not aware of Johns later success in so many things, but not surprised to learn of it. A great childhood mate.
A perfect tribute to an amazing man. So proud to have been a part of Jacks unique journey. Sorry we couldn’t be there but we felt the celebration through the live stream. Like all of Jacks many friends and family we will miss him and always remember fondly our times together. Love Kev and Simone
