Chris, Michelle and Steve, what a lovely service.
Your Dad would be proud of you and the tributes you paid to him. You all spoke so well, which is not an easy thing to do.
The photos reminded me of so many happy times John and I spent together in Japan, the UK, Australia and Germany where we traveled together in the 80’s and 90’s. It also reminded me about the state of his company cars!
I have still never met anyone who could put people at ease within minutes of meeting them as John could, regardless of their nationality. It was a real gift he had.
It was a privilege to call John a friend, he will be sadly missed.
R.I.P John, the one and the only Fat Filter Flogger!
Farewell to dear Uncle John. How strange it is to feel so much on seeing those dear faces and hearing such wonderful tributes, while at such a distance. Truly we are blessed to have memories to cherish. Smiles as well as tears watching this service. X
Au Revoir JD, a true Gentlemen. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you at domnick hunter and to watch you in action. Probably the best relationship builder I have ever met able to meet greet and get to know people in what seemed like a flash. Also an unrivalled storyteller par excellence. I had the privilege of listening to,usually in floods of tears of laughter, the most outrageous stories of daring do. A one off, an original and a lovely lovely man. Au Revoir JD.
That was a beautiful service, everyone spoke really well and the pictures were fantastic and good quality.
Brought back some good memories of Johnny. Rest In Peace and I’m sure you will have had a few beers with my Dad in heaven already.
Thank you
Mark DiNardo and family
JD I reckon the fishing could be good where you are going on the next part of your journey and the wine the best. A true Gentleman in every sense of the word and who taught me a lot. Very fond memories I will have with me forever. A privilege to have known you and worked with you. One of a kind who will be missed.
Sleep well my friend.
Christine, Chris, Michele and Steve wonderful tributes, beautiful service and an insight into some of the things we did not know about JD, so sorry for your loss.
A wonderful tribute to a very special man. Lovely pictures and precious memories. A privilege to be able to join you, albeit virtually. Lots of love from all of us.
What an extraordinary life! A truly beautiful service, fitting of such a talented, vibrant and loved man. Thank you Christine, Chris, Michele and Steve for sharing John’s story and memories.
You are in our hearts, Rachel and Dean xx
Farewell, JD – one of life’s gentlemen. I am so very sorry that we never met again. It was a privilege to work with you at dh – so many happy memories. Who else but you could have persuaded a serving police officer to play along with a prank about your immigration status? You taught me a lot in my early years, for which I will be forever grateful. Such beautiful and well-deserved tributes from your family and friends today. Rest in peace, professore – you will be missed.

Happy after journey John—not many like you on this Earth and we did wind each other up a bit now and then.
