  1. THE MEASURE OF A MAN

Not how did he die? But how did he live?
Not what did he gain? But what did he give?

These are the things that measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

Not what was his church? Not what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?

His strength of his children, his love for his wife
These are the units that measure a life.

Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer?
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

Not what did the words in the newspaper say?
But – How many will miss him now he’s passed away?

These are the things that measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

    Rob, Willow Av.

  6. Dear Andrew and the Milne family,

What lovely memories I have of Jack. He always welcomed me into his house, loved a chat and showed me the new blooms in his garden. He always asked if I was ok. Whenever I asked him how he was, he always had positive to share with me. I’ll miss Jack very much. May his legacy live on in all our lives.

    Warmest regards

    Winnie
