“Wonderful” is a word used by many in the comments section – and I’ll be doing the same. There are not too many other words that sum up such a gathering of family and friends to remember and pay tribute so eloquently, to such a good man. I was one of those baby engineers referred to that John, Jo and their 3 kids welcomed into their home, which brought some degree of normality and “family” to our lives. The warmth and friendship was a long way removed from the single men’s accommodation at a mine site in PNG. They were very fond memories for me that will always be cherished. Rest in peace John. Love to all family & friends. Paul x
A wonderful service in celebrating the life and spirit of a wonderful man, who impacted many of us on our life journey. I will be always greatful for having John as part of my life and shaping me as a human being. He was always so proud of his family and today showed us all why as they send him to heaven with grace, warmth and humour. Love to all James
Such a wonderful service. John will always be fondly remembered. Rest is peace our dear friend, John. Til we meet again.xxx
Sorry that I couldn’t be there in person to honour such a great and kind man. Much love to Jo, Matt, Amanda and Kate and families.

It was such an honour and privilege to watch the farewell to John, to listen to all the words of love for John. I am so grateful for the times I was able to spend with him and the family. My thoughts and feelings are with you all. Go forward with strength, peace and love.
With much love to all,
Jan McCaffrey
What a wonderful love filled ceremony in memory of John Reid. He would have been very proud of the memories and tributes shared by his family and friends, and the very warm and humorous service conducted by his family priest / friend.
Sorry I could not be there in person to support you in paying tribute to John.
Love
