Dearest Moira and Adam, we both said this was one of the loveliest send offs we have ever attended. Even via streaming, the love, humour, and resilience of the Lacys and their outlaws are manifest. The tributes were wonderful, and your celebrant (here I’m also wearing my celebrant’s hat) was exceptional. Perhaps the best I’ve ever witnessed. Paul seconds that. This was a true celebration of life in the midst of death. .our hearts ache for you and we look forward to the wake. Much love, Kim. Ps,Paul wouldn’t let me put his name as it wasn’t grammatically correct. But if it was, I’m sure he’d send it,
What a wonderful tribute to John. Could not have had a better send off. You did a great job Moira.
Wish I could have spent more time with John and shared some of the many laughs he had.
Shall be in touch soon.
Love you lots,
Cousin Joan. Xx
Dear Moira and Adam, Love and sympathies to you. As you will know it was not wise for me to attend today. Cousin John I remember dearly as my “giant” cousin from Northcote. I remember as a wee starting-out primary schooler, getting a shoulder ride round our property on John’s shoulders. I could nearly touch the high ceiling and the sky. I had learned a new word at school, a profanity, which sounded amusing and a chide and dare. John beseeched me to be cautious as it was a bad word, of course I didn’t listen, until we went inside and I recklessly used it in the presence of all whilst on John’s shoulders (as an untouchable knight). I got some flack and trouble from the boss (Mum). Ha ha haaaa. I am now glad to know of Lord John Vosper (cuz John), and remember celebrate the gentle giant with fond memories.
A beautiful service and a wonderful insight into your family and the stories you all shared, also very thankful of live streaming to be able to be there in this moment with you all. Much love and deepest condolences from Daria, Michael, Kenzie and Jethro.
