  16. I first met Karen about 50 years ago as a friend of Angela Modra. Then when I was 18 we had dogs in the same race at Warragal. I’ve never forgotten, just before the race Karen said: you need to feed that dog, it’s miles too light. Imagine the smile on my face when my dog came first!

    Karen you were an incredible trainer, and all around wonderful lady. Condolences to your family on this enormous loss. Very grateful to have been able to watch your farewell.

You were a beautiful women and I have very fond memories while visiting at The Golden Gate in Warrandyte, and while I lived in Warrandyte and visiting you in your early days of greyhound racing with Auntie Voila in Taroona Ave, watching your videos and how proud you were of your greyhounds.
