  1. my uncle larry was a kindhearted and generous man always putting others before himself he loved his children and grandchildren he loved watching the cricket tour to france holidays on the murray and trips to adelaide with mates uncle larry would grow his beard for all the grandkids kids nieces and nephews and they would happily swing off his beard he enjoyed going to the movies and reading books to his grandkids larry glen brown was born to his parents patricia and edwin brown on the 30th of october 1959 he had brothers brett peter eddie and was a fond brother in law to mandy and debbie his choice of footy was carlton larrys primary education was at preston tech and secondary north east his choice of trade was a mechanic a trade he held throughout his working life he would always be seen fixing someones car never expected a thank you but everyone he supported was always so grateful he was blessed with children lots of children tim allen sharna shane tameka kristal damien and many more his children and grandchildren know how fortunate they are to have had larry in their lives larrys first wife was margaret they spent many happy years to together they were married in mornington sadly margaret and larry were soon to go their separate ways but they valued their many happy years that they did spend together and remained close friends my uncle then formed a loving relationship with his new partner lynne beswick and throughout her life she was known to be loving kindhearted openhearted and she devoted much of her time to caring for larry this shows the kind of love that larry and lynne truly had for eachother not just as a couple but also as carer and client aswell sadly lynne passed away in 2016 and i am sure that uncle larry and aunty lynne are now both in eachothers arms reunited larry was a christian and shared this verse from isaiah 41:10 fear not for i am with you be not dismayed for i am your god i will strengthen you i will help you i will uphold you with my righteous right hand i believe that this verse is a reminder to us that in times of great change and transition god wants us to both adapt to those changes and then transition into a new season he was the most loving generous gentle loving man you could ever meet he never spoke an unkind word about anyone he was kind to everyone whether he knew you or he didnt and he stood by many people many people may of thought that on the outward exterior that my uncle appeared to be grumpy but this was just a cover for on the inside he was very loving kindhearted and generous and his heart was always in the right place my uncle larry saw me for the very first time at my sister simones wedding i fondly remember he blew a kiss to me and he hugged me he kissed me and held me tight he said you are beautiful you really are he danced with me on the dance floor my uncle was a beautiful ballroom dancer and their i was dancing with uncle ed uncle peter and uncle larry on the dance floor it was the best night of our lives seeing my beautiful sister get married full of fun family friends great food and company and lots of laughter and dancing i remember sitting eating dinner at his table that evening and we were chatting about our lives he told me how he remembered when i was born and how my family saw that i had a head bigger than the rest of my body due to a fluid blockage on the brain so when i was five days old they inserted a bypass shunt to pump the fluid onto the brain and drain out the excess fluid the doctors told my family that i would never make it til the age of two years old and 22 years later im still here fighting fit uncle larry was proud of me for proving all the doctors wrong his eyes lit up when he saw me for the first time at simones wedding in over 22 years he was in love we caught simones wedding bouquet together he was laid to rest beside his beautiful wife lynne beswick and as they always said they will be together forever in the footage was a picture of aunty lynne she was beautiful she apparently met me as a baby but sadly passed away years later my uncle had a heart of gold his loss has left a huge void in all of our lives but we know we will someday see him again my beloved uncle rest in peace we all love you your niece christine this is my tribute to my uncle

  2. What a beautiful service for a man I only met on a few occasions. He was larger than life and I saw a very dedicated man to his Family. You all must be so proud of him and all that he taught you in life. Thank you for sharing this service with me Sharna. Your eulogy was beautiful along with your Sister and Larry’s Brother. May he RIP now. X

  3. I have a tear in my eyes – Larry was such a giving man, with Lynn by his side, they raised a large family – all beautiful people – I know Sharna best, and cried as she spoke. I thank them for looking out for my some at times when he needed someone. Two of the most beautiful people I ever met. RIP

  4. To Larry,
A great guy and friend gone to be with his loved ones. Never got the chance to say goodbye but you will be forever in my heart.

  6. Luckily, somehow in life I met Larry, via Budha I remember. We clicked from the start.A memory absolutely etched in my mind was going to Larry and Lynnes around Xmas time.I have not seen, in my existence,a tree cascading with so many presents!!! From there the years grew on.My respect and admiration for Larry,Lynne and associated family members just increased. Laz taught me a lot! Or at the very least confirmed my beliefs and faith in human nature.I reckon I have told the Xmas tree story to a million people in recognition that the gift is in the giving. That was my mate “Larry’.That was a beautiful service and all those involved should be extremely proud,it typified Larryand he would be so proud.I love you LAZ and rip mate……Al….(plumber)

Condolences and best wishes to all his family xoxo

  19. DAD. To many of us you took on board as your own from knee height to a grasshopper, the only man i ever knew as dad, the only man i ever called dad. Many memories, as the only man i ever knew as dad, you kept a secret with you and left it to late to tell me what it was and you have taken it with you to the grave, guess ill just never be old enough to understand or know. The stubbornness comes from where? the only man i ever called DAD. Not born into the Brown family by blood but i guess i adopted you as my dad and you never once told me i wasn’t your son, you introduced me to the person that was but i asked dad are we going home now.

Tell Lyne,Brett, Ma and Pa I love them and they are sadly missed by everyone. Til we meet again. Love always Chrissy and the family. Xxxx

I still remember meeting you all as neighbours back when I was little and was so excited mum caught up with you both again years later when we moved back to Frankston. You always let me know your door was always open to me and although I hadn’t seen you, Lynne or the boys since moving off and starting my own family I have always held the memories with you all very dear to me. May you rest in Paradise with Lynne now and know that we’re both amazing and have so many that will always love you both. All my love little Sammi xoxo

  30. Dear dad

For someone who wasn’t my biological father, you meant so much to me. You took my mum (RIP I miss you mum) and me, Tim, Gaz and Alan and made us part of your family. That meant 8 kids for you in total. I’m glad I got to tell you how much you meant to me and how weather it be good or bad you helped me become the man I am today. I’m so happy you got to come and see me and Karina and Mitchell down at our lovely home. (Thank you uncle Pete) You understood why I had to leave every thing in Frankston and start fresh. I’m glad you seen what we’ve accomplished.

Thank you for being my dad, good times and bad. You were are great friend and mentor and it hurts so much that you’ve gone away. Say hi to mum and give here a kiss from us. Now you can both be together forever

We love you so much dad

You will forever remain in my heart farewell my friend

  32. My memories are what we have left, and a lesson I personally will not forget. The time has come when time is no more and all that’s left was once before. The memories so dear and true, those memories of we and you. Although we fell and stumbled at times, all those hills were necessary climbs. All the times when your heart shined through are the greatest memories we have of you. We will always remember you, brother of mine. In our hearts we will keep you, so we will be fine. We will go forward with our heads held high. This will be hard, I cannot lie.

But in my heart you will be moving forward with me.
I will always remember you, brother of mine.
