  10. What an incredible woman. Lucy really was a shining light, who shone as bright as can be. She was the most amazing teacher, we feel so privileged that our daughter had Lucy for her first and second year at St Mary’s. She was so charismatic, the kids were so drawn to her and she had such an amazing energy for each and every one of them. She truly made every one of her students feel special. Sybilla treasures every cuddle she gave and received from Miss McDonald (and there were lots!). We will never forget what a beautiful soul she was and she will be forever missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to her beautiful family, who lost Lucy way too early in life. All our love, James, Tammy, Lucas and Sybilla Greenwood xxxx

  11. I came to know Lucy and her family through the sadness and tragedy of cancer, which has taken her so young. She fought very courageously, with her family alongside. I can see that in Lucy’s time here, she has touched the hearts of many, and helped and inspired others. As a teacher, Lucy’s work will live on in her students, who will carry her lessons, and her shining example of how to be a good person, forward with them. My condolences to all Lucy’s family. She was a remarkable young woman. We’re thinking of you all, and sending love. Allison & Betty xx

  12. A beautiful service in recognition of a life well lived. Our thoughts are with you.

  14. Lucy, you were one in a million. The gentlest, most intelligent and compassionate of all. Your passion for teaching was as clear as day but what was even more evident was your love for all the children. You genuinely cared and wanted to make a difference in each students life. We loved that you encouraged the kids to write compliments to each other on little notes and that you had the letter L and when the kids behaved and filled it with stickers, they’d get prizes or you’d invite Baxter in for a play.
You certainly made a lasting impression in Stevies life as the best and most beautiful teacher and person she has had the privilege of knowing. Our deepest condolences to your beautiful family. We will always be grateful for knowing you.

  15. How incredibly unfair to lose Lucy so young when she had so much more to do and so many hearts to stay with. Apologies for our absence today, we’re staying home to keep our germs to ourselves. Sending all my love to her closest family and friends in this hard time and moving forward.
