  7. Thank you for sharing the service with us…. A touching and moving tribute to a wonderful person. I worked with him at the hospital. He was always warm and kind to me. My thoughts are with his family at this time.

  8. My deepest sympathies to Mahinda’s wife and the two daughters. Mahinda and I were classmates at St. Anthony’s and at St. Benedict’s. We both lived in Alwis Town, Hendala. I used to play cricket with him at his house when we were small. As a small kid, I was very close to Mahinda’s family, including his father, mother and sister. I have not met Mahinda for more than 50 years. But I have heard about him. Missed him when I visited Australia a few years ago. I am very sad to see him pass away. I wish I had a chance to meet him and talk to him about our good old days in Hendala. May Mahinda’s soul rest in peace.

  16. Our Deepest Sympathies to you Dear Dayani and family. It is with a whole lot sadness we have to say bye to a great friend we spent a lot of time through the Old Bens and on a personal level too. Mahinda I will always remember you dropping by in Carrum Downs when you had your Aged Care home in Cranbourne. You will walk in say hello and you will say “Nangi have anything to eat?. We always shared our dinner with you, and I always remembered you didn’t eat meat so when I cooked fish curry I always put a few portions for you in the freezer as I knew you visited us so often. You were so thankful. You were a humble and peaceful friend. We thank God for giving us all that time with you. Rest In Peace Dear Mahinda and I pray we meet again on the other side.

  17. Our deepest condolences to Dayani & all the family. I have known Mahinda for over 50 years during our time at Jayasinghe Place. Always the joker. Your love of all living things, cricket & Sri Lankan music will always stay with me. Rest in Peace dear friend.
