Aunt Margaret was a loving and caring lady to all who came to our home and those she greeted in the street. Locals who have asked after her in recent days are shocked to her of her sudden death. I had the privilege to care for her in her later years at home. We had many chats together. Topic was often about Norway, or things she did in her younger years. She liked me to read from the Bible, this we did often. As time went by it was time for her to move to Westhaven in Footscray where she was given wonderful 24 / 7 support. I was glad for the times we could meet up at the nursing home. Often asked about how various friends were doing. Very little about her own concerns. I look forward to the reunion that we will have when we meet again. Forever with the Lord Jesus Christ whom she loves and served whilst here with us.
I met Aunty Margaret end of 1995, and moved in to stay in Howard street for 4 years after that.
She always have time to chat with us when she sees us around. Her attention to people, her care for the wider community (whether its the old lady down the street or the new international student she met in the QV Market), has been exemplary. I have not met someone quite like her. She has been a servant of God and have blessed many.
Sad not to be able to see her again, especially since we were not able to see her the past one year plus because of the pandemic.
Yet glad that she is free from her physical sufferings, and that one day we will see each other again in much better circumstances.
Our condolences to you, Neil and family, as you grieve in this time of loss. I pray that God’s comfort will be with you.
When I met Aunt Margaret, it was in Victoria market, November 2010.
I can never forget her genuine interest and liking to others including strangers. She introduced me to her nephew Neil, and we have become friends since.
She was a very intelligent woman who’s interested in many topics and enjoyed talking many of her beautiful memories and knowledge. She was also kind of a protester who believes in and fights for things that have good values.
My deepest sorrow for Aunt Margaret but I believe she finds her peace and rest in the name of God she believed, Jesus Christ.

There is indeed so much good to say about Margaret, and much good that she did for so many, touching our hearts and making our worlds better. To hear of her early years, in particular, in such a genuine eulogy was very much appreciated. Sending our sincerest condolences to the family.
