  1. All my love to the family. It was a beautiful service, i wish i could be there.I will always love Mrs Beard (as i always called your mum. Love to you Marion and Kristina. Many fond memories. I will treasure the birthday cards your mother sent , i have them all still to this day. I can still see us all getting in your dads car with yellow plastic raincoats on to state school on the really wet days ,i’m sure your mum always arranged that. Love always -Linda Howarth.

  2. Although I haven’t seen Auntie Marie since moving to NZ in the ’70’s, I remember her from lots of childhood memories, one in particular stands out : when I used to go to a friend’s place after school, Auntie Marie lived over the back fence, and we’d often say ‘gidday’.
Marion, I hope you’re doing better, ‘cos Ross said you were taking it very hard, as were all the family.
Auntie Marie was the youngest, and Bob my dad was born just before her – I have photos of them together, the last ones of them both.
Auntie Marie, I’m catching up with you re: grandchildren and great-grandchildren : 3 adult children, 12 grandchildren, and will be 12 or 13 [have to take my shoes off to count properly!] in May this year.
Sending my love to all Auntie Marie’s family; her service was beautiful. I recognised her in the earlier photos – a beautiful, kind woman, loved by everyone
