Mark – what an absolute legend.
I had the privilege to work with him at The Over 50 Group then on to Macquarie Bank together. You were a true gentleman who loved life and family.
My condolences to the Wheeler Family
We thank Mark for his generous spirit and warm welcome when we first arrived in Melbourne 31 years ago… Both Mark & Leonie included us in many Wheeler family gatherings which were always great fun. We loved listening to Mark’s many stories and we will remember him so fondly. This was a beautiful mass to honour and remember a very special person. Sending you love and caring thoughts from Dublin.
I was so sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Anne-Marie, David, Stephen, Kelly, Jenny and Dan and all his inlaw ‘other’ children and grandchildren. I will always remember very fondly all the dinners, BBQs and family holidays we spent with your family. Your send off for your Dad and Pa was lovely and I am sure your Mum and Dad were watching from above. Vale Mark Wheeler.
A beautiful farewell , Dad would be so proud. Wonderful memories of our very dear friends and the fun times we shared over many years. Rest in Peace together now; Mark we will miss you so.
On behalf of the staff at Cabrini Prahran our heartfelt condolences to all the Wheeler family.
It was a beautiful service and Mark would be proud.
For many years Mark volunteered each Friday at Cabrini Prahran. His warmth and genuineness endeared him to many patients and families but it is the staff who will miss him the most. He called the Cabrini Prahran team his ‘Cabrini family’ and the love from staff for this great man was palpable. When staff learnt of Mark’s passing, they expressed their sorrow and sadness and offered their ‘Mark memories’…how Mark made everyone feel special, how he reminded them of the importance of the work they do and how he always left others with a sense of gratitude for thIs gift of life.
Mark Wheeler…love personified…we were truly blessed to be part of your Cabrini family.
