  1. What a beautiful warm and thoroughly lovely lady . There is only that one special person who comes into your life that you are all the better for meeting them, and that was Topsy. Will miss our conversation and her positive attitude. Rest in peace Topsy and condolences to her family.

  2. My sincere sympathies to all of Topsy’s family. Topsy was a wonderful supportive neighbour and we enjoyed a few vino’s over the years and many fabulous philosophical chats on life, love and everything in between.
I loved Topsy’s robustness, her groundedness, and positive outlook on life, and her down to earth humour.
We received many a lemon from her wonderful tree in Mornington and sometimes she would tuck them under our hedge for us and we would find them later and have a laugh.
She lent me a few self help books over the years and was a firm believer in a positive growth mindset and accepting life’s challenges with grace and humility.
Topsy was incredibly supportive, warm and generous to me during the pandemic. I will never forget that. She is a treasure and will be greatly missed.
The ceremony was beautiful for a beautiful person… Thank you.
Much love to Topsy and well wishes to you all…

  5. Thank you for the opportunity to share in your lovely tributes to my beautiful friend Topsy. Our lives paralleled each others in events and timelines so that she dubbed us the Merry Widows! It was my great good fortune to share many beautiful hours with this generously giving, thoughtful, funny and unselfishly loving person who greatly enriched my life.
May you all be richly blessed with strength and comfort as you adjust to this massive hole in your lives.
    Take care

  6. Thinking of you all as you say your farewells to Topsy.
Such a beautiful service to say goodbye and I know she would be so proud of all your love and strength at this sad time.
So many wonderful memories of days gone by in Lower Templestowe.
May your special memories of Topsy give you all so many more reasons to smile than shed tears.
    Sending love xx

  7. Therese and I watched the beautiful service from Chicago. Such a sad occasion, but also lovely to hear about Topsy and her life, old times in Lower Templestowe, and to see Sue, John, and Simon. Our condolences to all the family.

  8. My sincere condolences to all the family. Watching the ceremony and photo tributes from my office in Sydney brought back so many memories from when I was young and the many times I would visit the Convenience Store in Randwick and the family home in Perouse Rd with my mum Dolly, Nellies sister and Topsy’s aunty.
Thank you also to Belinda Jane for the production so that the many people could also be there on the day

  9. Hello Castelow family, So wonderful to view the Service of darling Topsy and to listen and see her family. Golly, you have all grown up so quickly. Many wonderful memories of the past and lots more to remember as we go thru the comments here and in the service.
Our love to you all and know that Topsy would have loved to be there with you.
Thanks to Karen for setting all of this up.

  10. Words cannot express how I feel now watching Topsy’s life unfold. You all did a magnificent job for her service, she would be very proud of you all. I’m just so sorry I couldn’t be there.
I’m sure I’ll never meet another person that could compare to Topsy, she had an incredible way with people and you couldn’t help but love her. Her generosity of spirit never failed her, even when she was tired and sick she couldn’t stop helping people. I will miss her terribly as we used to talk on the phone nearly every day and she always knew of something new that was out there to help someone medically or physically, she was just an amazing woman.
To all Topsy’s family my heart goes out to you all.
