  1. Many happy memories of Norm over the years.I knew Norm from the early nineteen sixties as members of the Catholic Twentys Club.Norm came up to Lesley and my wedding here in Mackay in early 1971.Rest well, Norm.

    Norm was a warm and frienly and welcoming man with a great sense of humour. We enjoyed chats around the kitchen table with plenty of cups of tea!

  8. What a beautiful service and Mass! We were so moved by the eulogies given today ,they really captured the essence of Norm; his unique character, his sense of humour and his kindness. We will miss his drop ins to our house with Mark. This all brings back earlier memories of happy times at Devon st in the 70,s ,when we would visit you all and Carol.Those were the days! You all spoke beautifully today and I am sure Norm and Carol are very proud of you. We will be thinking of you in this sad time and pray Gods love embraces you always, Much love from Susie Peter and all the Summersclan

  10. A legend in his own life time. The greatest of story tellers. Norm brought a smile to our faces whenever we saw him. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Vale, Normie!

  17. I have been watching the Funeral Mass from my home at Corpus Christi, Clayton and I am extremely proud of the way my brother had his funeral conducted. I will miss him and always remember him.

  18. My heart goes out to you Mel and family. The service showed how full Norms life was and how loved he was by you all. I am honoured to have met him for even the briefest of moments.

  22. I’m so glad I could attend Norm’s funeral, despite lockdown. He was such a character and we bonded over our past connections with Gippsland. I loved learning more about his life and seeing photos of Norm over the years. Mel, Georgie, Errol and Mark, your speeches were so moving and had me in tears. Thinking of you all during this time.   23. It was always a blessing to have at our Church on Sundays whenever you could. You loved the Lord Jesus Christ and I found you kind and gracious. Glory to God for your life.
