Peter, sorry to hear that you had moved onto a higher existence ‘.
My experience at calls and strike team was invaluable.
Thank you for not sending me to sleep a fire courses I will always remember
some of them.
Rest In Peace.
Condolences to the family.
Peter I remember when you started at Boronia, a young lad who was eager to learn the ropes and at the same time pass on a witty comment mostly and generally on que. From time to time you have crossed my mind and when obstacles confronted you; you stepped up to the plate with courage and determination to achieve the goal set before you, always with that cheeky grin and quick whit.
Farewell my friend.
Rest in Peace, Pete…no ladders, planes and boats anymore…your soul is free to soar and dive. Thank you for your friendship.
Our deepest condolences to you Dave & Cath, Adrian & to your extended family on the loss of Peter.
We only met Peter once earlier in the year and even that one time was memorable. He’s the kinda guy you feel like you’ve known forever after just one meeting. Pete gave us some advice that day which we will never forget – “Do it now, don’t wait!”
Until we watched Pete’s service we had no idea of the extent of his incredible impact on the lives of so many people. What a rich tapestry his life was!
Rest in peace Peter,
Amy, Pete & Charlotte xx
What a terrific, moving, fitting service for a true giant among men. Lukey – your precious soul will remain in my heart & your example & your influence & effect, far reaching.
Adrian & David – such magnificent words, my most sincere sympathy to you both, and so heartwarming to always see the bond between as brothers. Lukey’s tuna & olive pasta was my favourite, & I hope he’s dishing it up & kicking up his heels in Heaven with Troy & all those others he’s loved & lost, & now reunited with. Our loss is most definitely Heaven’s gain. I laughed and cried at the stories – so much of it rang true.
Lukey always called me Hairy Legs too so I am clearly among esteemed company. He teased my cocker spaniel by only calling him ‘Baby Killer’ but I guess I’ll forgive him for that now. Bless you Lukey, you did so so so much good xxx God Speed. – Ally
An amazing service for a much admired man
In the short time I knew you, it was a great pleasure. We’d always hear you before we saw you. Rest easy Lukey.
Darling Pete,
Decades of wonderful memories I’ll forever hold close to my heart. Today I carried the badge we got from the London Fire Brigade all those years ago. Missing you already. ❤️ Ali
Peter your cheeky smile and warm genuine welcome each time we crossed paths over so many years is what I’ll remember most. Your creative approach to training and willingness to teach and share your knowledge to others over so many years was admired by all. All in all, a true people’s person!
Sue and I extend our sincere condolences to the Lucas family.
I have fond memories of your mentorship, leadership and friendship throughout our time together at 4th Knox Scouting group. You were the life of the party and many happy memories have your smiling face in them. Friends will recall his answering service message in the days of landlines with the loud music in the background with Peter shouting he can’t hear you as he excuses himself to turn the music down, only to return 20 seconds later to tell you he isn’t home and to leave a message. Comedy gold.
On behalf of my many siblings in the Doyle family, whom you gave so much of your time to in scouts, we thank you. I believe it was you that gave my sister the nickname “Frank” which stuck for many years.
Condolences to David, Adrian and to Peter’s many friends.
Rest in peace, Peter
Rest In Peace dear Pete.
Our ‘chaperone extraordinaire’.
You have left a lasting impression on our lives!
We will miss you. ❤️
I knew you for 32 years. You were my rookie instructor, I worked with you on station and you were my boss at my last station, Cranbourne. We had our differences but I respected you because you cared both on and off station. Thanks for the friendship. Cookie
I knew you for 32 years. You were my rookie instructor, I worked with you on station and you were my boss at my last station, Cranbourne. Sometimes annoying, sometimes frustrating but never a dull moment. I respected you because you cared both on and off station. Thanks for the friendship. Cookie (and Liz)
Condolences to David, Adrian and Peter’s family and friends. There is only one Peter Lucas and he will live on in our hearts and memories. Unfortunately couldn’t be there today but watched the livestream. A great service. I started crying when the bell tolled 3 times. I will barrack for the Lions when they aren’t playing my Swans. Great memories of the 2005 grand final with Pete and Craig and Jana. Goodbye my friend xxx
An amazing and caring person. God bless R.I.P.
Rest in Peace Lukey! Our deployment to Qld taught me a lot about myself and your wise words over a table at maccas on the way home will stay with me forever as will the gentle hand on my shoulder as I weathered a family crisis via the phone so far from home. That gentle hand and show of support held me together for the long journey home.
A beautiful man.
Thank you
Rest In Peace Lukey Thanks for the great days at Frankston in the early 80s
They say only the Good Die Young, well you had enough cheek in you to last a little longer, but too much good in you to stay here anymore.
You are the true hero!
RIP my friend.

We remember Peter mostly from Venturer days where Peter led us on a hike making sure we all had what we needed. Even to the point of carrying an extra lilo and bag of oranges.
Kind and caring, considerate and funny was Peter. A true gentleman

Dear TITI parisien,
What can I say . I still can’t realise that you are gone. You left an incredible space in my heart. A special place that was yours.
You welcomed me into your life, like a father would. Showed me many things, always took me to many events ( even football and gosh I don’t like it ! ) , but always always in order for me not to be by myself.
We traveled to France, you had more energy than Kate and I ! And we were able to create memories.
And today, I hold onto those memories because they make me smile . You make me smile . Thank you for being such an amazing person , an incredible soul. I will miss you . Love you dear titi .
Its with a heavy heart that we are writing today . Peter left our world to be amongst the stars
Authentic, Generous, always turned towards others, Peter was an amazing person, a beautiful soul . We will remember him forever . He will remain in our memories.
Please receive our deepest condolences and our support
In Memory of Peter at Dandenong CFA
Lost touch over the years
But remembering him being a great Firefighter
Rest In Peace
Lukey, you will be very sadly missed. Working with you during my time in the south east with CFA was always such a pleasure and you were always someone to look up too and who demonstrated such commitment to CFA, volunteering and keeping the community safe. Thank you for friendship, your peer support when I was going through a tough time and for going out of your way giving me a call to check in that I was okay even when you were off shift. My condolences to your family and all of the CFA/FRV family, particularly those at Dandenong FS……RIP
Lukey, you will be missed. Thanks for the laughs, and the memories. RIP.
On behalf of the Retired Members Division of the UFU please except our condolences on the passing of Peter.
