My condolences to the family. Lovely touching service. RIP Phil. The photos brought back memories of the camaraderie of the Boges brothers and the days we used to go up the ‘Boges with an hour’s notice- just load up the bikes, grab a couple of cans of baked beans, packets of Viscount ciggies and a flagon of port. Towing old Austin’s up for Bob sitting on fruit cases instead of seats. Cruisin in the Valiant into Euroa on a Saturday night and everything else we got up to. (or shouldn’t have perhaps)
A fantastic service. Wonderful to see and hear so many stories, each a true reflection of the man I was lucky enough to call a friend. Rebecca and Frank, you both spoke beautifully. He will be forever remembered with great affection. Love Mike and Mez Shanhun
R.I.P Phil. Lovely service, great photographs took me back nearly 50 years ago working on the motorbikes in your garage, the AP5 Valliant, riding the dirt bikes in the Boges, sleeping in the dugout and Hippo’s hamburgers late at night.
Great service for a true gentleman, always so supportive of his sons and family. Always happy to give me some feedback which was appreciated and helpful.
A great tribute by a wonderful family of a great guy, well done all. Phil, your influence spread far and well, you will be missed by all. Take care of each other xx
Thanks Sue for inviting me to participate today. I only spent time with Phil on the fairways at Eastwood for a few years, but I will always remember his humour and cheekiness, not so much his prowess. I’m sure I speak for all his mates at the club when I say he will be missed.
Beautiful service and tribute to a wonderful friend . We will miss you Phil especially your great sense of humour.Sebastian has lost a brother and golfing buddy. We look forward to being able to get together with others to remember and toast you. Rest in peace our dear friend.
He will be missed by the team at ODLS.
The circumspect voice of reason, the quiet achiever and the wry sense of humor have endeared him to many.
Our heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
Sending all our love and strength to you, Sue and the family during this time.
So many memories flood back of tagging along with Peter when he would head up to the Smith’s to work on cars with Phil. He will always live on in our memories.
