Such a lovely and intimate service Sarah & Sam. So befitting of your Dad. A beautiful eulogy Sarah, so interesting to hear of Ramsey’s life. A true gentleman. Our thoughts are with you both at this sad time.

It was wonderful that we could watch the service from Norway. The flowers were beautiful. A modest, dignified service. We gathered in the lounge at 6 am local time to watch it together.
Sarah
Thanks to my old friend Sarah I could see the funeral from Sweden. It was so lovely flowers and nice music and good to hear Sarah tell Ramsey’s life story.
My regards to Sarah, Sam and Russel.
And blessed memory of Mary, who dedicated her life to Ramsey,

97 years, quite an innings! Glad we could be a part of the farewell to Ramsey. Many lovely memories of visits to Melbourne with a detour to Balwyn.
I always enjoyed our catch ups with Ramsey and Mary. Ramsey, always animated conversations on his beloved Liberal party, birds, skiing, tiffs with the neighbours and classical music.
Sam/Sarah and Russell,
A very good send off and a long full life.
I have quite a few memories of Ramsey:
* home made beer
* decaf coffee
* passion for Holden cars
* berating Sam for drinking a soft drink out of a can
* aversion to cap guns
* Liberal party follower – he told me he was responsible for Frydneberg being in politics
* comb tucked in side of long white socks when going bowling in Orange and wearing thongs – both to the disgust of his sister
* love of music and no interest in AFL!
I always enjoyed his company and one of the last things he told me about my great passion golf , that he also played, was that he was never any good due to his anxiety when playing.
Nicholas.
A fitting tribute to an intelligent and gentle man who loved his family and his God. I knew him only his later years , but enjoyed the times I visited him and Mary.
Ramsay’s memory lives on in those who loved him.
Thank you very much again Sam for letting us here in Newcastle know of the passing of your loving and dear father.
I am sure he would have been very proud of his farewell; the native flowers were superb and just what he would have chosen.
A fitting tribute to a man whom I only knew in his later years. A gentle man devoted to Mary and his family, who was blessed with the care Mary gave him, and the lovely garden he could enjoy when home-bound.
Ramsay’s memory will live on in all who knew him.
Blessings and sympathy to Ramsay’s family.
I am sorry I could not be there personally but grateful that technology allowed me to be part of the service and to enable Sarah to deliver the eulogy personallly from Norway.
With love

I cannot think of a more fitting tribute to Ramsay – and to farewell him with Finlandia – he taught us this with great joy.
Sorry we could not be there. Ramsey and Mary stay in our memory. Best wishes to the family.
Ramsey was such a gentile man. He always made me feel very welcome at church. The service was a lovely tribute to him
Ros Lowe.
Only good memories of Uncle Ramsey
