  1. Beautiful and moving ceremony. Heartfelt tributes by loving family were touching. You all were blessed to have such an incredible role model as a head of the family.
Rest In Peace kind and gentle Uncle.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family iduri g this tough time.

  2. OMG… This was such a pious occasion to celebrate the illustrious, and adventurous, journey of a man who made Life beautiful for everyone around him. It brought a lump in the throat and tears to the eyes.
As Jasmeet rightly said, He may not be with us in flesh and blood but the Spirit lives on.
Alas I haven’t been as privileged to have known Uncle personally but the only time I met him in Nagpur (after he had lost his life partner) he left an immediate impression on me. And I can still feel the warmth of the hug he gave me as I took leave.

Just listening to every member of the family, whose lives he enriched with simplicity and joy, tells us a lot about Uncle…that he was a man of many parts whose life was distinctly memorable and memorably distinct.
Indeed every word that my young, (‘Glory Hunter’)friend Ronit said about Uncle touched my heart. I could easily relate to it because I too was lucky to have a loving Dadu, always putting a comforting arm around me, when I was growing up.
Making that yummy Maggie, much against his own wishes, was a classic case of head ruling the heart. I’m sure his words of wisdom would have given Ansh the much needed confidence to enjoy the company of darkness instead of getting scared.
For Ronit, just being able to know, and feel, the Man—who was no more than a CHARACTER of the bedtime stories his mom so fondly shared with him— would have been an enlightening experience. And yet, even as he would have digged deep into his Nanu, he would have realised he doesn’t have the copyright of being called ‘The One And Only’. The old man has clearly set a high standard for him to match. Bu then the journey of Life has to be explored by everyone treading their own path. While his Nanu’s company was an insurance against time, I’m sure Ronit would have embraced all the important lessons in the august company of his Anchor. Well, now He would be watching him from the Heavens fully secure in the knowledge that the young man is wise and smart enough to weather every storm that he comes across.
** The fact that Sheena herself felt burdened by the weight those two words “in law” underlined how well ‘Papa’ had embraced, and acknowledged, the arrival of his second daughter to light up his Home once again. Poor Jasmeet, all along, he would have got used to settling for the Silver !!
    * And last but not the least—Preeti or Simi as Uncleù lovingly call his Princess. Well she may have been the cynosure of His eyes getting an unfair, and undue, advantage over Jasmeet. Yet he has swiftly passed on the baton to her being her Hero and her Role Model.
Ever since I’ve known Preeti I’ve found her to be a very genuine, caring and selfless person. Now I know where all that kindness n compassion comes from. Looking forward to that book. It will be a fitting tribute to the Man who spread so much love and warmth.
God Bless. May his soul rest in peace.
