  2. What a wonderful service & tributes to my dear Uncle Raymond.
It was touching to hear some of his poetry which reflected his love for his family & Ireland.
Uncle Raymond was a strong & courageous man & he made a big impact on me as a boy.
I have fond memories of him, Aunty Veronica & family visiting us at our house in Cherryvalley & the craic we enjoyed together.
My Dad Noel loved him dearly & he was sorely missed when the family emigrated.
Our thoughts & prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
    Rest in Peace Uncle Raymond
    xx

  3. Such a lovely service, he was clearly dearly loved. Deepest condolences from Mary and I and our family.
I have so many memories of Uncle Raymond, he lived with Granny and Granda next door to us before he was married, and worked on Alec Herron’s farm and I often used to ride on the tractor with him in the days before I started primary school. I well remember the caravan where he and Aunty Veronica set up first home, and Roy the collie dog., Jess the jack Russell and Shade of Blue the greyhound that was doing so well just before they left for Australia.
He had a big old van that he cut the bodywork from so it was just a flat board back behind the two front seats. When he started it up, all the kids inTen Acre Estate used to drop what they were doing and run like hell to climb aboard, then he would take off through the fields with us all hanging on for dear life! Great fun, even now it makes me smile to remember him laughing as he went over bumps!
Rest in peace Uncle Raymond xx

  6. To the family of Ray,
I am Robert Spada’s wife, ( the lawnmower repair man in Bayswater ) and I also knew Ray. He used to always joke around a lot and laugh with me about anything and everything and the shop. He was such a lovely man, I remember him always being so kind and respectful. I am very sorry for his passing, it’s heartbreaking. My condolences to you all, may god give you all the strength you need in this grieving time of pain.
    Regards
    Angela Spada
