Dorothy, watching this brought back many memories of working with Bob when local government was local government.
You will miss him greatly, hold on to the memories

It was lovely to hear all the stories and memories of your dad Mel. You did a great job Chris, as well as you Sandy for being an excellent wingman! Lots of Love to you all. ❤️
Beautifully moving reflections of the Bob Gardner who helped to influence my love of planning and community development. My love to Dorothy and all the family.
That was a lovely memorial, a lovely tribute to a well-loved man. I had to smile when Kris mentioned the kaftan. I remember that kaftan – I recall thinking to myself, the first time I saw him wearing it, that it was a strange thing for Mr Gardner to wear because he didn’t normally look like a hippie! (as Kris said, it was the 70s). Mr Gardner took me to my first VFL football game, at VFL park – North Melbourne vs Geelong. I don’t recall who won, I just remember having a lovely day with my friend Kris, thanks to her dad.
It was a beautiful farewell.
With love from Ann and Graeme
Such a wonderful and emotional goodbye. Love to you all.
I could not be there in person today but it was a privilege to attend the service online. Sending my love and deepest sympathy to all the family!
A wonderful service in memory of Robert.
Rob – You were a wonderful father, father-in-law and grandfather. Rest peacefully.
