  1. Such a wonderful celebration of Ros’ action packed life. Her generosity of spirit shone through, even in the recent more difficult years.
Sending heartfelt condolences to Con and to all of the family.

  2. What a beautiful service. My thoughts are with the Slootjes family during this time. Whilst I only met Ros once, I will never forget it. She welcomed a couple of Con’s accounting students into her home with a beaming smile and fed us cake whilst we revised for exams (back in 2004/5). It was so unusual to go to your teachers home on a weekend for a study session but it was clear that this was a normal gesture for Ros and Con. It really was the beginnings of setting my career path and I’ll be forever grateful to Con and Ros for their kindness and generosity of their time.

  3. My dear school friend, Rossy. It was so sad to hear that you had passed away. I´m so glad that we met when I was in Melbourne in 2019. It was the last time we saw each other. I love you, beautiful girl! You´ll always be in my heart.

  5. We were so sad to hear of Rossy’s passing from Meaghan & Pete. Such a bright, beautiful and caring soul, gatherings at the Burridge’s won’t be quite the same without her. Much love to Con and family, we know you’ll be feeling her loss intensely. I’ll always remember the fun times we had (Ros, Meaghan and Julie) cycling on the Great WA Bike Ride together several years ago. Farewell dear Rossy ❤️

  16. Beautiful Rossy, what a send off. I am so sorry I could not be with you in person, but I am in Queensland. I laughed and I cried with your family and friends, and your beloved Con. How lucky we have all been to have you in our lives. You are gone far too soon, but will always be loved, and never ever forgotten. 21. Such an absolute privilege to celebrate Ros’s life with you all today. Oh my gosh, it was so wonderful to hear the stories, to watch her friends and beautiful family and children, to see photos and memories on the screen. She taught me in 1975 at Warragul High and I actually was at her wedding to Con with two other school mates. We reconnected again many years later through CECV Professional Development Days, and when Con was high up in the Flower & Garden Show organisation (I was from a flower farm background) The most beautiful lady – what an impact she had on me in so many ways. You must be so so proud but so so sad. I know that today is painful but hope that the beautiful memories shared will sustain you. big hugs to you all.love Andy Donnelly (nee Rowse).

  25. Rossy’s love of life was infectious.
We shared schooldays, university days and then early teaching days.
She was always so positive, enthusiastic and just fun to be around.
It is so sad that she has left so soon

  26. I was incredibly saddened to hear the news of Mrs Slootjes passing. She was without doubt, one of my favourite teachers. Her knowledgeable, engaging and empathetic style of teaching has stayed with me all my life. Now, after twenty odd years of teaching, I can honestly say that it was teachers like Ros who inspired me to become a teacher. What an amazing legacy you have left. RIP Mrs Slootjes.
