  1. So sad for your loss Kurt. The service was very moving, as was your eulogy.
I fondly remember the Friday afternoons at Eileen’s, when you were at school, & all the mothers, including Shirley, would consume champagne while the big tribe of kids played cricket or footy. It was a great way to end the week, and your mother laughed and enjoyed herself- a happy way to unwind. They were pre- .05 days! I still have the Longines watch that she very generously helped me buy from her work, SMH, I think, in Wellington Street, StKilda.
Your mother was a very strong woman, and always focussed on your well-being, determined to give you the best start in life for you that was humanly possible. Take care of your beautiful family & best wishes.

  2. Wonderful service Kurt, well done. Hope we can catch up to reminisce when the circumstances allow it.

  11. Dear Kurt and family,
I watched while raising a glass in memory of Shirley and the many glasses we all raised together, during our Friday night drinks, while you kids ran riot.
I was sad not to be there with you, to show my respect and deep affection for Shirley, but I was certainly there virtually.
They were lovely words Kurt, and yes you were spoiled, but that hasn’t affected the fine young man you’ve become.
My love and best wishes to you, and I hope when we’re free from this terrible pandemic we’ll be able to get together and give Shirley the send off she deserves.

Our deepest condolences. Your mum – Shirley was a beautiful loving soul. We remember how much she cared about you, and loved you. She would always speak about you with fondness and love every time she would pick you from our home. She was proud of you then and know that this grew as you became a man, a husband and a father. She will be missed but never forgotten. We are sure you will feel her with you in your continued journey. You gave a beautiful eulogy …. made us laugh, smile and cry. I am sure she would have been proud. Lots of love and prayers. Reg, Lorna, Naomi Glyn & Deeni xxxooo
