  1. Dear Fi, I have just been able to see this now. A beautiful story about Sophie, and just how I remember her in Melbourne and Benalla. What a life, and what a woman. She put on my wedding reception at her place after I married Merv Graham, of whom she was very fond. She even made white roses out of tissues to put on the balustrade of her steps leading up to her door. Peter and I spent many wonderful times with her and Don at the house in Benalla, and I remember the cats particularly, as I loved them, and I used to watch her hand feed them!!!! It pains me that I lost touch, but I thought of her often. My sincere thoughts and love go to all her family and friends.

  2. Fi – what a beautiful celebration of Sophie’s life – and as always your words said it all. Sophie was always so lovely to me, always took such a keen interest in my life and my boys, I loved our chats over tea and cookies. She was so modern in her thinking – such a ‘with it’ girl. I’m sorry that I couldn’t see her more in the last couple of years. My love to you and Dan.

  3. Thank you for streaming Sophie’s memorial service Fiona, it was so lovely to listen and hear about Sophie’s life and reflect on my memories of working with her in Benalla. I still have a dress that Sophie helped me make for my 40th birthday, I am now 68. Such a beautiful lady and I think you all described her beautifully. May she now rest pain free.
