Sue was my beloved godmother and cousin, and a much loved presence throughout my life. She had a deep love for her family and friends, and was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a long and varied life, and her warmth, resilience and intellect always shone through. We have always kept in touch, and I treasured her lovely letters and updates on the family and her life. Our shared interest in family history brought us even closer over recent years and I am so grateful that we spoke on the phone not long before her sudden passing.
Sue met any challenges with good humour and an abiding faith.
Sue and my mother Naomi Aird, her first cousin, now deceased, were like sisters, and shared many happy times, travelling together on a number of occasions. I feel privileged to have known Sue and very much feel her loss, however I am blessed with wonderful memories and photos of her over the years. Rest in peace dearest Sue and thank you for being you and for all you have been in my life.

What a privilege to share in this remembrance and thanksgiving for your Mum, Lee. The Lord clearly touched many people’s hearts and lives through her faith and her love for others. May He draw near to each one of family and friends who feel the great loss of her in the days ahead. With love and prayers. X

It is with grace that I was able to share in this journey of a remarkable, but unassuming woman and her equally remarkable and beautiful family.
