  1. It was an honor meeting Tom Wood Grant. I am also proud and will never forget being part of his class. He was always cheering, optimistic and someone that I will enjoy talking to. My deepest condolences and my heart goes for Nick and the family.

  2. Mel and Nicky, no words will do justice how sorry and saddened we are for the loss of Toms beautiful life. He had an impact on so many people and Lewis and myself still cherish the fun memories we all had together growing up. He was always the most enthusiastic and courageous person to have around, teaching us to be more adventurous with his ability to parkour in any environment and run down the cliff side at the Grampians. He always had the most contagious laugh and smile. He is going to be so missed from the physical world however there is no doubt that he will surround you with his love and beautiful energy forever.
Wish we were able to attend but sending you all of our love and strength from WA. Xx

  3. Mel, I have just watched this wonderful tribute to your beloved Tom. To see Tom’s friends speak so compassionately of their friend Tom, who loved them and encouraged them is also a tribute to you as his mum. Mel, you spoke from the heart and touched me and I’m sure all who listened to your thoughtful words. Love and wisdom to you in the challenging days ahead. Lesley Taylor

  4. What a lovely tribute to your son — you obviously raised a beautiful young man, Mel. Thinking of you with sadness and strength. From Margaret at MCM.

  6. What a privilege to hear from afar all the wonderful, loving tributes paid to Tom. He was clearly very beloved to so many people. I especially loved hearing how freely and how frequently Tom told his friends that he loved them … I’ve no doubt that this abundance of love, and Tom’s ability to articulate it, came directly from you, dearest Mel. Thinking of you and holding you & Nick and all of your family in my thoughts. Lots of love from London. Wish I could give you a hug.

  7. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tribute to such a beautiful boy. Bless you Tom.❤️

  9. As Pat and Ailish.s Grandparents, Tom came into our lives for just a few brief years however he left behind such everlasting memories. His love of life, his depth of knowledge on such a large range of subjects, his willingness to help others whenever possible, his love of animals and also his absolute respect for those around him both young and old.
His cheeky grin will remain with me always. You will be sorely missed Tom.

  11. It’s clear Tom’s strength of character comes from his unbelievable mother. Maura and I are awestruck, Melanie, by your ability to speak so eloquently in the face of such heartbreak. We love you infinitely and we wish you, Nick, Martin and all of your extended family peace and comfort in your memories of your exceptional and beloved son and brother. 25. Having been a part of Tom’s teenage growth having him visit Indi at our house since he was a young teen, being a safe space for them
all to learn their parameters whilst safe in my house, it is devastating to learn of his passing. He, like all of Indi’s close friends, are part of my heart and I grieve with them at this loss.

My heart goes out to his family with this tragedy.
