This lovely service was a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man – sorry I could not attend in person. My deepest condolences to Joan and all Bill’s family. Bill was my late mother’ Hilda Stevens’ (nee Belcher) first cousin. Also cousin to Emily and Freed Belcher, both deceased. Bill’s father was my maternal grandmother’s (Alma Belcher – nee Joynson’s )brother, therefore he was my second cousin. Mum married Cyril Stevens, a very well known Thornbury photographer, whom I think may have taken some of the wedding photo shots shown at the service today. All love, and sincere thoughts with you.

We were so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. The ceremony was a wonderful tribute to your dad, and to the rest of your family. He was indeed a very good man.
