  9. Dear Julie and family. Deepest condolences on the passing of Bill. I have many fond memories of our time together playing cricket at Preston YCW, and socialising together.

  10. Farewell Billy. So cruel that a premiership did not come your way at Collingwood (although it did for you via Liam at the Western Bulldogs) and that now you are gone far too soon, but thankful you had such a full and fun life. The joy you gave us Collingwood supporters, especially in big games with your brilliant high marking, will live with us forever. To be among the first 18 named in our team of the century is a statement of your place in our club’s history – the epitome of a Collingwood champion. You will always be flying high in our eyes.

  23. Craig Davis (Boofa) and Family To Julie and family our heart felt condolences.

I played against Billy twice and played with him 97 times each one memorable.

Marcus & Nick shared the Collingwood Creche together so Bill, Julie, Judy, Craig became friends sharing many outings together.

    They were a beautiful family.

Billy was a great footballer but even a better person. My only regret that our paths never crossed over the years due to our work locations.

RIP lovely person GOD “HERE COMES BILLY”

  24. I never had the privilege to have met Billy but as a fan during my teens, the level of his aerial skill, ability to read the game and position himself inspired me to be better.
I used to call out his name when I went for a mark as a fun thing and leaned years later that he did similar in contests during games.
He left his “mark” on me and countless others.
