  1. To Wilma’s Family, I have just learned of Wilma’s passing, and am very sad to know she is no longer with us. I didn’t know her well, but she always greeted me by name when passing in the street. I’m pretty sure Michael went to school with at least one of my boys.
I have just watched her beautiful funeral service, her sons spoke so lovingly of her, some of her goodness clearly lives on in them, she would be so proud of them.I was very touched when the minister said, that as we know Wilma is now in heaven, that makes all the more reason to have hope that our home will be there one day too, what a truly lovely thing to say. I smiled when I heard her favourite book was “ Heidi”; my sister and I loved that story too.I will miss her friendly smile, people like her really add goodness to our world,God bless her.

  2. I feel very sad to learn of Wilma’s passing. She was my hairdresser for 14 years and was the best hairdresser. She listened and made constructive suggestions and always aimed to please her clients. She was excited about her Lord and revelled in sharing her faith, latest Christian books , programs, CD’s, and conferences. She loved her garden and roses. When I visited her home in Monbulk it was my day of tranquility , thanks to Wilma I will be forever grateful. Fly high dear friend.

  3. Wilma was a good friend to many. She laughed with us, sang with us, and we learned together. She prayed for us, had cuppas together, and understood the challenges with health and illness. Always encouraging, and checking how everything was going.
    So glad our paths crossed.
Till we all meet again in Heaven,
    Ken and Helen Pell

  4. Dear Michael, Steve and families.

Well done on speaking so beautifully from the heart. Everyone showed such Wilma like warmth and strength in detailing such fond memories.

Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

    RIP Wilma

  5. Dear Steve, Michael and families.

Well done on celebrating your mums life in such a warm and upbeat manner, just as she had requested. You guys have done her proud once again. Please know that the extended family are all thinking of you through this very sad time. We will all dearly miss Auntie Wilma’s caring and loving presence in our lives.

    Best wishes,
    Paul

  6. Wilma
Have been thinking about the beautiful farewell that you have had from your family, the love was so evident from all that spoke about you.
Personally I just want to say Thank you for being the special person that you were, loving caring and most of all shining your light where ever you went.
You are the example of christian faith that we would want to be..
    Thank You again Wilma
You are in the arms of Jesus the best place to be..

  7. Dear precious friend Wilma

We will see each other again some day my dear friend, but in the meantime I will miss your beautiful smile, glowing always with the joy of your Lord. And your infectious laugh. Your steadfast faith, courage, love and support has been such an inspiration to me, as it was to countless others. You supported me through some very tough times and taught me true perseverance . A true role model of a woman of God.
I can hear the Lord say “Well done though good and faithful servant”.

  8. As we went to watch our Mums service just last night, a service that you attended with us, I scrolled through only to see your name here. We are so heartbroken to know that you are no longer with us. You were as much an inspiration to us as you were to our Mum, Kaz.
Thank you for being a part of our lives, albeit for only a short time. Your visits to Mum truly bought joy to us as a family, you were both fighting the same battle and you were a tower of strength to her in ways you could never know. We are not at all surprised that you treated everyone you knew with such love and grace, as we heard in the beautiful tributes today. You brought God into Mums life and helped her accept her journey. You prayed in your church for her. We will be forever grateful that we were lucky enough to know you, Wilma.

    Sending much love…

Steven and Michael, your Mum spoke about you all every time we saw her. Maybe one day, you can watch our Mums service, where the story of how our Mums met is briefly told. We didn’t feel it was right not to tell the story and thank your Mum for the light she bought into our Mums life. We were so honoured to have her with us to say goodbye to Mum on the day.

Rest easy, Wilma. We know that you and Mum will be able to forever catch up in heaven.

  18. Although I have only known you for a few years my lovely sister in Christ, I will miss you and our little outings together to have lunch somewhere and just enjoy each other’s company. Heaven is rejoicing and we know that we will join you there one day but until then we will miss you very much. What a blessing to have known such a beautiful lady.

  19. My dearest darling Wilma “My Treasure”. What a privilege was bestowed upon me to have walked and stood so closely beside you in the last few years. You taught me so much and continued to cheer me on, no matter what. I am forever grateful for you. But now as usual you are saying “go and wash your face and keep going” and so that is what I will do.
And to Wilma’s family…. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Amen.

  20. In loving memory of Wilma. I loved catching up with you after church and talking about the Lord and the things that were happening in the world, I will miss you heaps.
Thankyou Steven, Michael and all the family, sisters and grandchildren, for the lovely words and gracious, funny and warm memories you’ve shared with us today, acknowledging and honouring your Mum, Sister and Grandmother. She will be missed very much by all her knew her.
With love and warmest wishes, Lyn Behmer xoxo

  21. This was such a fitting and beautiful service for a very special lady. Every participant shared so well from their heart, their love for Wilma. How blessed she was to have you to love her.
How blessed we were to hear your memories and glimpses into Wilma’s life we may not have known.

Good-bye, dear friend. Thank you for taking the opportunity so many years ago of telling me about Jesus as I sat in your hairdressing chair. Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed because you did.

Thank you for your kindness and calling me friend.
Thank you for the fun we shared as we waved banners around the church and enjoyed the presence of the Lord together.

I will miss you, Wilma, but I know you have heard the voice of the Lord as He has said to you, “Welcome. You are home.”

    1. Dearest Wilma I am so very sad to just learn of your passing. I so enjoyed our conversations & the time spent with you when I came to have my hair cut. You were the best & loveliest of ladies. I am so glad that I phoned you recently to see how you were going with the lockdown, little did I know that I would not speak with you again. Thank you always for your wise counsel and just for being you xxx

  22. Thank you for a beautiful service in honour of dear Wilma.

I hope you find comfort in the memories you have of her.

  23. They say that one thousand words can describe a picture but nothing can describe the way that we will miss nanna willy.

  24. A true inspiration to us all. We wish would could have been present to farewell you today Nanna Willy. We couldn’t be more thankful for the involvement you have had in all of our lives. You will always remain in our thoughts and your lessons will never be forgotten. To Michael, Steven, Nanna and all others present we may not be with you in body but in mind and spirit we are here and equally as heartbroken.

  28. Dear Wilma,
You have always been such an example of a child of God who worships and prays.
From when I was only a young boy, you have been so encouraging of me – in my walk with God and my purpose in Him, and then in turn, encouraging of my family.
Thank you for your care, love and passion that you lived and shared.
    We’ll see you soon.
    Adam

  29. Thank you Wilma for your faithfulness to Jesus our Lord and Saviour and His church. Thank you for all the encouragement you have given me over the years in my ministry work and daily living. Your encouragement of my children has been such a blessing to them and me as their parent. You are a mighty prayer warrior and faithful servant of the Lord, now enjoying your eternal reward in the arms of Jesus.

  30. Dearest Wilma
Rest in beautiful peace beautiful lady with your Saviour Jesus Christ. I will remember you always, the holiday we spent up the coast all those years ago. The way you walked so quickly past my house at Monbulk. The way you prayed and prophesied. You were a great warrior for the Lord, I’m sure the Lord said “Well done my good & faithful servant. You were a great inspiration to many. Thank You

  31. My dear and much loved friend, Wilma

You battled on bravely, always with Jesus by your side. Rest with him now sweet lady. How I will miss you.

Fragrant sweet peas and lilacs, beautiful roses and camellias in all the pink and pastel hues of the rainbow – these will remind me of you and the precious moments we shared. You were there when I needed you, how I wish I could have done more in return.

Your grace, lovely smile and warm heart decorated my life

    Love you Marilyn

  32. My dear and loved friend Wilma.

Life will be all the poorer without your warm smile and gentle, loving nature. You were there for me when I needed you, I wish I could have done more in return.

Fragrant smelling sweet peas, camellias and roses in a multitude of pink hues, lilacs and blossom – all will remind me of you sweet lady. You showed strength, courage and a determination never to give up.

Thank you for gracing my life. I will never forget you.

    Love Marilyn

    1. Lovely words for such a kind person that Wilma was. From my first “Michael Jackson perm” at Vanity Fair Beauty Salon, to you giving me a job cleaning it once a week way back in the early 80’s (even though you didnt need it cleaned again) but you knew l needed the money, and then your kindness in helping my family when we were at a low point, anonymously, but we knew it was you, and always kind words of encouragement right up until 6 months ago encouraging me in my new hairdressing career and passing a client of yours to me with these words l wont forget…”you can do it, don’t doubt yourself…” and gave me one of your salon stools to take and keep, then wished me well..smiling and waving to me from your garden as l drove away…. I will always remember your kindness..God Bless you always….
