  1. What an incredibly moving and dignified funeral service, so much in-keeping with an incredibly wonderful lady! Thank you for the privilege of participating online. Richard is a gifted speaker and leader, truly a man chosen by God to lead this beautiful service in honour of his beloved cousin, Yvonne. Diedrie’s tribute to her mum on behalf of her sisters was both profoundly sad and humorous, and captured the essence of an incredibly gifted and talented lady who lived her life in the service of others, especially the poor and the needy. My family and I are hugely blest to have known Yvonne, David and their “three little girls” from way back in the early 1960s. Yvonne’s life touched all our lives in a most beautiful and positive way. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace. My heartfelt sympathies to all her surviving family. May God bless you all. Warmest regards and lots of love, Yasmin O’Connell (Herft).

  2. We are so glad David and Yvonne touched our lives. They were my mother’ s close friends. Yvonne always brought much needed gifts like linen when she visited from Australia. My favourite memory is when they invited my brother for a visit, when in Sri Lanka, and presented him with a brand new Raleigh bicycle! I was happy to visit their home in Glen Waverly ?( Not sure of the place), in 1980

  3. Fond memories of Aunty Yvonne. She was an old family friend of the Joseph Family, from days in Ceylon and Australia. She was a lovely woman who will be always remembered. sincere condolences to Dorothy, Denise & Diedre. As I was not able to attend her funeral, due to travels overseas, I would love to be able to watch the live stream.
